Welcome to French Village Cottages situated in Poitou-Charentes on the Charente/Deux-Sèvres border.

Les Papillons & L’Alouette are a pair of 17th century, stone, beamed cottages located together within the village of Loubillé. Sleeping up to 6 and 7 comfortably. You will enjoy a pool (5.50m x 3.70m) in a gated area with sun loungers, barbeque and shaded seating.

Loubillé is a quiet village well known in the area for winning the “Concours des Villages Fleuries” (best kept gardens) most years. In 2006 the village took first prize again with the best overall property being Les Papillons and L’Alouette.

The village is surrounded by fields of sunflowers, wheat and vines, a relaxing location ideal for that stress free holiday.

The village boulangerie is 50 metres away for fresh bread, croissants and cakes. Café Celestin is 100 metres away with bar, restaurant and simple village store.

The market town of Chef-Boutonne with supermarkets, cafés, bars, restaurants and pizzeria is 7kms away.

The Old Boulangerie is situated in the nearby hamlet of Premorin which is 10kms from Chef-Boutonne.

The cottage has been tastefully renovated to a high standard, with original features, including original stone, wood beams and bread oven. This spacious property sleeps up to 8 comfortably with private pool and plenty of outside space.

While on holiday here, you can walk, cycle, fish or just enjoy the peace and quiet.

Poitiers with Futuroscope, Marais Poitevin (Venise Verte), La Rochelle with beaches, Niort, Cognac and Angoulême are all within 40-90 minutes drive.

There are also lakes with beaches nearby as well as the River Charente and the River Boutonne.
